The Blair County Sherriff’s Office is warning individuals of scam calls that several people in the area have received. The caller impersonates officers working with the sheriff’s office and then informs people they have missed jury duty or there’s an outstanding warrant for their arrest. The caller then follows that up by asking for money. The Blair County Sheriff’s Department wants to remind everyone that they never call anyone asking for payment. If you get a call like this, just hang up, and report it to your local police department.
