A 22 year old Altoona man is behind bars after being the subject of a firearm theft investigation in December. Altoona Police announced thru their Facebook page, the arrest of Michael Davis the third, who reportedly stole a number of firearms in Altoona and surrounding areas. Police say a search warrant was obtained for Davis’ cell phone which contained numerous photos of Davis posing with guns. Davis is facing one felony charge of theft by unlawful taking, a felony charge of receiving stolen property, and other related offenses. He is currently in the Blair County Prison. His preliminary hearing is slated for May 22nd. Altoona Police are asking anyone who recognizes the firearms in the photos posted on their Facebook page, as ones stolen, to contact them.
