The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic association has approved to remove its Transgender policy in accordance with President Trump’s executive order barring men from women’s sports. According to the PIAA’s board meeting summary, the policy change is effective immediately. On February 5th, President Trump signed Executive Order 1420, “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports.” The intent behind the order is to ban transgender athletes from participating in girl’s and women’s sports. White House officials have said the order aims to protect women’s access to safe and fair athletic opportunities.
