A Pennsylvania congressman says he’s working to get the rare-earth minerals deal with Ukraine back on track. Republican Brian Fitzpatrick, of Philadelphia, said yesterday he’s had a lengthy and productive conversation with President Zelensky’s chief of staff. He wrote on X that they are “100 percent getting this train back on the tracks” and the minerals deal “will be signed in short order.” The news comes after President Trump’s testy exchange with Zelensky in the Oval Office last Friday. The rare-earth minerals deal was originally supposed to be signed then, but it was scrapped after the Ukrainian president was asked to leave the White House, after he reportedly showed disrespect to both President Trump, Vice-President JD Vance, and refused to thank the United States for its financial support in the war Ukraine has been fighting with Russia.
