Criminal charges are expected to be filed soon in a case involving the Singer-Kader-Neff Funeral home and Cremation Services in Howard, Centre County. Recently, a suit was filed against the home after a woman claimed her 92-year-old mother, who died last November, was discovered a month later laying on a table in an advanced state of decomposition. The woman’s body had been taken to the home for cremation, but after a month of being told there were hold-ups in the death certificate, or the coroner had the body, the woman finally contacted state police who found her mother’s body on a table. Reportedly, there have been numerous complaints regarding missing death certificates, made against the funeral home. Last Friday Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna said he’s expecting criminal charges to be filed soon.
