Pennsylvania lawmakers are considering designating Hershey’s Kisses as the state’s official candy. Last week the State House of Representatives voted to approve the candy as the state’s first official candy, and now the measure will go to the Senate. The idea of making Hershey’s Kisses the state’s official candy began as a Bucks County student’s project that was brought to lawmaker’s attention. The candy was first made by the Hershey Chocolate Company in 1907, and each day 70 million Kisses are made.
