Storms Hit Area, Cause Damage

storm-damage-2

Severe thunderstorms and winds hit Western/Central Pennsylvania yesterday causing damage and power outages.  Yesterday afternoon, the National Weather Service warned of three tornado cells in the area.  Along with heavy winds and rain, many people reported hail.  In the central and western portions of the state over 100,000 people were without power at one point.  Today’s forecast will be a lot different with partly cloudy skies and cooler temps in the 40s.  The above photo was taken along Sugar Run Road, in Altoona.
