Anti-Trump proteststs were held throughout the country this Saturday including in Altoona and State College. It was part of a national campaign known as “Hands Off” in response to the actions of President Trump and Elon Musk as they attempt to cut waste and fraud from the nation’s budget through the administration’s DOGE Program. Those who were protesting want an end to slashing federal funds they believe will affect Medicaid, Social Security and other programs, working people rely on. They also want an end to what they believe are attacks on immigrants and trans people. Over a million people took part in the protests across the country.
