Pennsylvania State Police has revealed quarterly results of background checks in the commonwealth. For the period running January 1st through March 31st, more than 261-thousand background checks were conducted through the Pennsylvania Instant Check System. Nearly four-thousand of those checks resulted in a denial for the would-be purchaser. Twenty-eight individuals were arrested at the point of purchase due to an outstanding warrant.
