A Pennsylvania billionaire, and commercial astronaut, picked to become the next head of NASA, is on Capitol Hill today for his confirmation hearing. Jared Isaacman is scheduled to appear in front of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation this morning. Isaacman, the CEO of Allentown-based payment processing company Shift4, made history last year by leading the first all-civilian spacewalk. President Trump said Isaacman will drive NASA’s mission of discovery, while paving the way for groundbreaking achievements in Space science.
