The recent attack on the Pennsylvania Governor’s mansion has prompted authorities to reevaluate security and emergency measures to prevent future incidents. The fire was allegedly started by 38-year-old Cody Balmer of Harrisburg who told police he intended to harm the governor stating he “hated the governor.” Since last weekend’s fire, additional troopers have been deployed around the property. Prior to the fire, state police were already maintaining a round-the-clock presence.
