A 26-year-old State College man faces a preliminary hearing today after he allegedly attempted to rape two nurses at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Reportedly, Conner Patterson was a patient at the hospital at the time. State College Police report that after making a remark about wanting to have sex, Patterson allegedly went to the nurse’s station and pulled a nurse by her hair into his room, where he attempted to rape her. A second nurse heard the first one yelling and hit the emergency button before running into the room to help. Patterson then allegedly tried to rape her as well. A struggle occurred until security personnel arrived. Patterson is charged with two felony counts of attempted rape and other related counts. He was arraigned last Friday and denied bail. He remains in the Centre County Prison.
