APD K-9 Finds Drugs In Vehicle After Chase

Altoona Police arrested two individuals on Tuesday thanks to the department’s K-9 Blue.  Arrested along 17^th street after a chase were 43-year old Cassandra Williams of Duncansville, and 44-year-old James Morgan of Altoona.  Police report that K-9 Blue found a large amount of drugs in the car after the chase.  Officers reportedly found meth, fentanyl, morphine pills, cocaine and marijuana.  Authorities say the street value of the drugs was placed at $33,000.  Both Williams and Morgan are facing numerous drug related charges and have been placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of bail set at $250,000 each.  By the way, this was K-9 Blue’s 200^th deployment for the city.
