A Somerset County man was sentenced to jail time yesterday after shooting his brother to death with a crossbow. Travis Shearer of Friedens will spend two to five years in prison after he pled guilty to third degree murder in the shooting death of his half-brother , Eric Miller. Police arrested Shearer last June following an altercation between the two that occurred along Cider Mill Road, in Somerset County.
