A 22-year-old man was killed last night in State College after he was electrocuted near a utility pole. Authorities were called to the scene of the 1500 block of University Drive where the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. State College Police say the man was attempting to put out a mulch fire when he came in contact with an active electric current. The accident happened during the severe weather that impacted the region with downed trees and power lines. The man’s identity has not yet been released.
