A family dog was rescued after a barn collapsed in Portage trapping several animals. Sadly the Beyer family, whose barn was located along Muster Road, lost four cows and a pig when the structure collapsed due to Tuesday night’s storms, but their dog “Rip” was found safe yesterday after being trapped for nearly 20 hours. Reportedly, the barn was completely thrown off its foundation. Both firefighters and neighbors came out to help in rescuing the animals.
