A Blair County man is behind bars after he allegedly shot another in the back of the head, thinking the victim stole a gun from him. Arrested was 58-year-old Keith Davis of Sproul. The attempted homicide occurred along the 300 block of Juniata Street in Greenfield Township, earlier this week. The victim was taken to Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown, where he is listed in stable condition. State police report that Davis was taken into custody a short time after the shooting, and upon further investigation report that Davis was allegedly angry at the victim, accusing him of stealing a .22 caliber gun from him. Davis was arraigned yesterday and is facing charges that include attempted homicide, reckless endangerment, and attempted aggravated assault. Davis has been placed in the Blair County Prison where bail has been denied. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 15th.
