A Clearfield County jury has convicted Bryan Michaelis for killing 33-year-old Kodey Parks last year in Morris Township. Earlier, a jury convicted Parks’ estranged wife Danielle for her role in the shooting death. After several hours of deliberations yesterday, the jury found Michaelis guilty on all the charges including first-degree murder, criminal conspiracy and evidence tampering. Yesterday, Michaelis took the stand and testified the shooting was in self-defense. Prosecutors told jurors that both Michaelis and Park’s ex-wife Danielle, conspired to kill Kodey during a custody exchange. Michaelis will be sentenced within sixty days. Danielle Parks is scheduled to be sentenced today. Both of them face life in prison without parole.
