Central PA Career And Technical Education Programs Receiving Grant Funding

Several Central Pennsylvania organizations are among the 55 groups benefiting from a round of grants announced by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.  More than ten-million dollars in PAsmart Advancing Grants are being awarded for Career and Technical Education programs.  Among the grants announced for area programs are $450-thousand dollars for the Appalachia Intermediate Unit in Blair County, $75,000 for the Bedford County Tech Center, and $450,000 for the Dubois Area School District in Clearfield County.  The Department of Education says the grants are part of the Shapiro Administration’s commitment to ensuring that students gain the skills, credentials, and real-world experience necessary to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving job market.
