There are reports today from the Associated Press, that Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was attending a meeting last week with representatives of a teacher’s union when he began repeating himself, questioning why everyone hated him, pounded on a desk, and began shouting. Reportedly, both a Fetterman staffer, and the representatives from the teacher’s union were shaken by the behavior. This came a day before the New York magazine published a story in which a former staffer, and advisors had begun airing concerns about the senator’s mental health. Fetterman brushed off the article calling it a “one-source hit piece.” Fetterman survived a stroke three years ago, that was followed by a period where he suffered from depression. In the meantime, an internal poll obtained by POLITICO, shows that his popularity is sinking among Democratic voters, from the very people who elected him here, in Pennsylvania.
