The Penn State Board of Trustees will meet later this week to discuss the recommendation to close a dozen commonwealth campuses. The board is set to review the recommendation on Thursday in what was initially scheduled as a public meeting but is now an executive session. The seven largest commonwealth campuses, including Penn State Altoona, will remain open. The meeting comes as students and staff at the twelve affected campuses, one of which is Penn State Dubois in Clearfield County, urge the board to delay the decision and consider other options.
