Trial got underway yesterday in Blair County Court for the former Bellwood-Antis School District athletic director, accused of witness intimidation in the case of several wrestlers who were sexually assaulted by middle school wrestling Coach Ryan Blazier. Yesterday, a former student reportedly told a jury that Charles Burch allegedly told him not to talk about what was going on during wrestling practice because he could be benched from the football team. Burch has denied the accusations. Blazier is serving a lengthy prison sentence after being convicted of sexual assault in 2023. The state rested its case yesterday, and the defense is expected to present its evidence today.
