Relief efforts are in the works for those who were most affected by recent flooding in Somerset County. Reportedly, state officials with the Governor’s Office, and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) visited areas last week that were most impacted by the flooding, to evaluate the damage, and also to coordinate assistance. The two areas hit hardest were Meyersdale and Garrett. Reportedly, state officials plan on coordinating with the Small Business Administration and other organizations, in an effort to offer support to both businesses and residents through loan applications.
