Republican challenger John Harlow has defeated longtime Tyrone Mayor Bill Latchford in yesterday’s primary. Unofficial results show Harlow with a 54 to 43 percent lead over Latchford. There were no Democratic challengers in this race which means Harlow will run uncontested. Harlow thanked Latchford for his years of service. Latchford thanked the community for their support over the years, and said on his Facebook page that serving as mayor was one of the greatest honors of his life.
