A week after heavy rains hit portions of Somerset County, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is looking to bring federal help to residents and businesses. Yesterday, the governor announced that he has requested help from the U.S. Small Business Administration, which can provide low interest loans for up to $500,000 to individuals, families and businesses, and $100,000 to renters that have been impacted by last week’s flooding. The governor noted that once the Small Business Administration approves the loans, they will then be made available to those in need.
