Dog In Centre County Rescued From Pipe Thanks To Efforts Of Loving Community

A Boalsburg dog named Blizzard was shown the love yesterday, when a community came together to rescue him from a drain pipe.  It took over six hours but thanks to area residents and the Boalsburg Fire Company, the dog was rescued from a drain pip he entered through an outlet pipe in the family’s backyard.  Blizzard reportedly traveled more than 100 feet through the pipe and firefighters could hear him barking.  Because of sediment in the pipe the dog was stuck, so a Harris Township road crew was called in to cut a hole in the road, and that eventually led to Blizzards rescue.  The dog reportedly is doing well, and required several baths.
