Skies Could Get Smoky In PA This Week

smoke

Get ready for potentially smoky skies in Pennsylvania this week, once again due to forest fires in Canada.  Fires started recently in the Manitoba area of Canada, and reportedly the fire is out of control.  Windstreams are expected to carry smoke into the U.S. including right here in the Commonwealth.  The sky will have a milky, hazy appearance and there be vibrant sunrises and sunsets.  The National Weather Service is monitoring the situation for changes.  The last time the state was affected by Canadian wildfires was in 2023.  If you are interested in knowing the air quality of the area you live in go to airnow.gov.
