A prisoner at the Blair County Prison escaped yesterday during transport, but was quickly apprehended. Reportedly, a van returned to the prison around 5:00 yesterday afternoon with a group of prisoners that were returning from Blair County Central Court. The van unloaded before heading to the parking garage. A short time later, a driver spotted a prisoner walking down Strawberry Alley in Hollidaysburg. Police units quickly responded to the scene where they were able to apprehend the escaped prisoner on Blair Street without incident. Hollidaysburg Borough Police are investigating.
