Two local school districts have adopted their budgets for the 2025-26 school year, and both include tax increases. The Tyrone School Board adopted their budget last night with the final budget including a 5.6% millage increase. Since Tyrone Area is a multi-county district, tax levies in Blair, Huntingdon and Centre Counties are different. And in Bellwood, school board members adopted their budget with a tax increase of 5.6%. The increase translates to an additional tax of slightly more than $98.00 for district residents, based on an average estimated household value of $147,950.
