Clearfiled Co., Mother Charged After Child Falls From Second Story Window

A DuBois mother has been charged after her 4-year-old allegedly fell from a second floor window.  Twenty-two-year-old Jenny Travis was charged on Monday with one felony count of endangering the welfare of a child.  The incident happened last month when police were called to an apartment complex on Hanes Drive in Sandy Township where they found a 4-year-old on the sidewalk with a window screen near him.  When officers arrived they found the child bleeding, along with having scrapes on his head. The child was flown to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.  Reportedly, Children and Youth Services has been called to the home before, regarding what has been described as deplorable living conditions.  Travis’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 11^th.
