An Altoona man was arrested last Friday after city police were called to the area of Howard Avenue near UMPC regarding someone trying to break into vehicles. Charged was 40-year-old Traves Poe who has been charged with theft from a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication. Poe was placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of bail. Altoona Police are reminding citizens to lock their vehicles and remove valuables.
