Former New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez is in federal custody to serve out his prison sentence in his corruption case. After a weekend of partying at his stepdaughter’s wedding in Massachusetts, he’ll serve an eleven year sentence at a federal facility here in Pennsylvania. The prison is the Schuylkill Federal Correction Institute located in Minersville, Pa. Menendez has attempted to receive a pardon from both presidents Biden and Trump, which the White House says is not being considered. At 71 years old, one of Menendez’s attorneys has called this a “life and death sentence.” His wife, Nadine, was convicted in connection to the case and is set to be sentenced in September.
