A number of people in a section of Roaring Spring had to be evacuated from their homes on Wednesday due to a large gas leak. Reportedly, the gas leak occurred in the area of East Main Street and Woodbury Pike. Residents were given the all clear, to return home yesterday morning around 6, by the Friendship Fire Cimpany, however residents affected by the leak can expect their gas to be shut off while repairs are made. Officials with UGI will be making those repairs, and reportedly residents who are customers of UGI, need to be home when a company employee comes to restore service.
