Greater Altoona Career And Tech Center Appoints New Director

The Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center has named a new director.  Nicole Zernick, who has led the center as interim director for the past seven months, was officially made director last night during a meeting of the board.  The position was left vacant by previous executive director Eric Palmer after he was charged with numerous felony counts of child pornography last November.  Zernick will begin her new role on July 1^st, with a base salary of $135,000 a year.
