Extreme Heat To Continue

wood-thermometer-showing-air-temperature

Dangerously high temperatures are in the forecast.  A heat advisory is in effect today as temps reach a record high into the mid-90s with a real feel of 102 degrees.  Also, the heat wave is expected to have negative effects on the air quality through-out the state.  The state Department has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Day for parts of the state, including Blair and Cambria Counties.  Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection says that sensitive individuals such as children, the elderly, and those with respiratory issues should limit outdoor activities, especially this afternoon.  You can always check the air quality in your area by going to airnow.gov.
