An Altoona man has been arrested for stalking and chasing a woman in a vehicle. Arrested on Sunday was 46-year-old Timothy Smith. Police say they were called to the area of 6th Avenue and 2nd Street Sunday afternoon, for an incident involving road rage. According to Altoona Police the victim told them Smith was following her and her boyfriend, at one point blocking their vehicle in an alley, when he reportedly got out of his car and tried to get into hers. Smith also allegedly pounded on her window, when she put her car in reverse and drove off. Police report that Smith found the victim once again in the area of Lloyd Street and Crawford Avenue and another chase ensued. The chase finally ended when Smith stopped, and police were able to apprehend him. Allegedly Smith had sent the victim and her boyfriend threatening voicemails in the days leading up to Sunday’s chase. Smith is facing charges that include stalking, harassment, reckless endangerment and other related counts. He has been placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of bail.
