Three Mile Island could reopen in two years. Officials at the upcoming Crane Power Plant announced yesterday that nuclear power will return to the Unit One reactor as soon as 2027. The site of the worst commercial nuclear accident in U.S. history is being brought back to life under a 20-year agreement with Microsoft and Constellation Energy. Governor Josh Shapiro, who toured the plant yesterday, said the move will create jobs in Pennsylvania by bolstering energy production.
