A grand jury has indicted a number of people involved in a drug ring that reportedly supplied drugs to both Blair and Somerset Counties. Reportedly, seven individuals were indicted and charged in Blair County for operating a drug ring that left one woman dead of an overdose in 2022. Those indicted include 44-year-old Ricky Joyner-Bennett, 32-year-old Cecylia Thompson, 35-year-old Kirsten Wright, 32-year-old Tareek Hemingway, and 39-year-old Matthew Rodriquez, all from Altoona, along with 27-year-old Laura Horne of Hollidaysburg, and Milton Williams, no address given. Charges have reportedly been filed for criminal organization along with multiple possession and intent to distribute counts.
