Motorists in Central Pa., get ready to face some superloads. PennDOT says windmill parts are expected to cause delays through September as they are transported slowly through Blair, Bedford, Cambria and Somerset Counties, at times blocking traffic entirely. The next shipment is scheduled for this Thursday July 10th. The blades are headed for the CPV Rogue’s Wind facility near Patton in Cambria County. Travel routes vary, but may include U.S. 220 in Blair County, U.S. 22, U.S 219, Route 4013 and Route 36 In Cambria County, and U.S 219 in Somerset County. PennDOT says these superloads usually travel at speeds of 25-35 miles per hour. Motorists are advised to remain alert for disruptions, and use alternate routes.
