The child endangerment trial of former Bellwood-Antis head wrestling coach, 60-year-old Timothy Andrekovich began yesterday in Blair County Court. Andrekovich is charged with allegedly failing to carry out a safety plan to prevent former junior high wrestling coach Ryan Blazier from being alone with students after Blazier was accused of sexual abuse. Blazier is currently serving 21-42 years in prison after he was convicted five years ago of seven sexual assault offenses that stemmed from the allegations of two middle school wrestlers who said they were sexually assaulted by Blazier. In May of this year the former Bellwood-Antis athletic director, 53-year-old Charles Burch was acquitted of a witness intimidation charge in this same case.
