Local officials and residents are left with questions after a trailer hauling the blade for a wind turbine became stuck this week in the Westmoreland County town of Bradenville. The incident happened Tuesday with the vehicle — measuring more than 159-feet long from the front of the truck to the back tip of the blade — got itself into a position where it could no longer navigate and was wedged between two homes. The roadway was blocked for hours and a street sign had to be removed so that the truck could back up and out of the jam. Locals want to know why PennDOT signed off on the routing for the truck that was traveling from Cambria County to the State of Iowa.
