The Humane Society of the Harrisburg Area is doing its part in helping with the Texas flood disaster. The agency is working with the Brandywine Valley SPCA to coordinate efforts to bring in pets from the flooded areas. Officials say more than two dozen dogs and almost a dozen cats are being transported to Pennsylvania on two emergency flights. Dogs must be quarantined two weeks before they’re eligible for adoption. Cats should be available for adoption by tomorrow.
