The Cambria County Coroner was called to the scene of a fatal accident in Summerhill Township yesterday morning. Complete details are not known, but reportedly two people were killed after a pickup truck crashed into a utility pole on the 2800 block of Portage Street. The coroner’s office reports the truck was traveling south on Route 53, at an apparent high rate of speed when the driver lost control and struck the pole. Authorities say a man and a woman were killed in the crash. More information is expected to be released today.
