GOP Congressman Perry Calls For Protective Custody For Maxwell

maxwell

A Republican Congressman is calling for Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine  Maxwell to be placed in protective custody after she was formally subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee.  Pennsylvania Representative Scott Perry sent a letter to the Federal Bureau of Prisons on Tuesday requesting that Maxwell be placed immediately within a Special Housing Unit and continuously monitored until her deposition on August 11th.  Perry added that monitoring must be done by guards and working surveillance equipment, noting the circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death in 2019.  Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted on sex trafficking charges in 2021.
