Martella’s Pharmacy in Johnstown, along with other pharmacies have been informed that their partnership with Express Scripts will be terminated, effective August 18th forcing residents in Johnstown and the Laurel Highlands to get their prescriptions elsewhere. The pharmacies affected include Martella’s, Boswell Prescription Center, Penn Laurel Pharmacy and Ligonier Pharmacy. According to WJAC News, Martella’s plans on contesting the termination, and hopes to find a resolution that will prevent any disruptions to their customers. Reportedly, the network termination comes on the heels of Express Scripts being named in a class-action lawsuit in Michigan.
