Former Blair County Treasurer Charged With Theft

A former Blair County Deputy Treasurer has been charged with felony theft after she allegedly stole nearly $18,000 from the county to gamble on Skills machines.  Charged was 58-year-old Brenda Bryan.  She is facing felony theft charges after she allegedly admitted to taking the money.  Bryan reportedly resigned from her position in February after confessing to taking the money.   Bryan was arraigned yesterday and released on $75,000 unsecured bail.  Her preliminary hearing is slated for August 5^th.
