The Monroe County, Pa., District Attorney says his office played a role in the arrest of Bryan Kohberger, the man who admitted to killing four University of Idaho students. DA Mike Mancuso said after he was notified that a local man was under investigation for the murders, his office noticed Kohberger would not use the same garbage bin as the rest of his family, instead placing his trash in his neighbors’ bins while wearing sterile gloves to avoid detection. Mancuso said detectives were eventually able to link Kohberger to the murders using a Q-Tip containing his father’s DNA that was taken out of the trash. Kohberger was sentenced earlier this week to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
