Huntingdon Woman Arrested After Dog Attacks Infant

cuffs-2

A Huntingdon woman is behind bars after a weeks-old infant was reportedly attacked by a German Shepard, and suffered numerous injuries, one of which was a skull fracture.  Arrested was 39-year-old Nicole Jones.  According to state police, they were contacted in early June after the family dog attacked the infant in its bassinette.  Police say the dog is reportedly registered as a “dangerous dog” since last August, after it previously attacked others in the neighborhood.  State police report the baby had allegedly been left alone downstairs with the dog when the attack occurred.  Jones is facing charges that include child endangerment and a dangerous dog citation.  She is currently in the Huntingdon County Prison where bail has been set at $100,000.  Jones faces a preliminary hearing on August 6th.
