The Pennsylvania Game Commission has voted to allow Sunday hunting on 13 dates this year extending from September 14th to December 7th. Game Commission Executive Director Steve Smith called the Sunday hunting opportunities “historic.” Under a 2009 law, hunting had only been allowed on three Sundays, but following the recent repeal of the state’s ban on Sunday hunting, the Game Commission added 10 other days to the calendar. Governor Josh Shapiro said he believes this change will make the state more attractive to out-of-state hunters.
