Smoke from those Canadian wildfires is expected to affect much of central and eastern Pennsylvania today causing many counties in the state to be under a Code Orange Air Quality Alert. Closer to home, both Huntingdon and Centre Counties are under air quality warnings today. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection says smoke from the wildfires will be moving through central and eastern portions of the state, which can cause issues for sensitive groups like the elderly, young children, and people with lung problems. Those residents are advised to limit outdoor activities and close your windows.
